From Rabbi David
In case you didn't know, the Hebrew word "Gan" means "pre-school" but it also means "garden". That's why we have so many gardens here at Gan Sinai. It's right in our name. Especially on Tu B'Shevat it is a blessing to celebrate our organic gardens, our reflecting garden, our butterfly garden and our engineering garden.
And now we get to add a 5th garden - a fruit garden! Tomorrow we will be gathering to celebrate from 2pm-2:30pm (please join us and pick up your kids from the celebration). We will be planting an avacado tree, a fig tree, a banana tree and more in a new special garden called "Josh's Garden". We are planting this in memory of Josh Snyder, a very special dad to Ruby, one of our recent PK4 graduates.
What a blessing to be growing so many gardens - and so many children at Gan Sinai!
