From Rabbi David

Children riding bikes

This past month I've seen something that I haven't seen for quite a while - my three girls actually enjoying one another. Usually they are in each other's way, poking fun at each other, getting on each other's nerves or doing something to cause a shriek of "MOM!!!" to ring out in the house. And remember my kids are grown up - two of them out of the house already!

But this past month, with their sister home from Israel, they actually showed love to one another. They curled up on the couch together; they talked and laughed late into the night; they hugged each other. There was still some of the screaming, but that's not what I'm going to remember from this month.

It may be true that distance makes the heart grow fonder. I'm absolutely sure that not have to all share a bathroom goes a long way to quelling the frustration they have with one another. Whatever it is - I'm going to hold onto this sibling love. It was the most precious Passover gift I could have received.
