From Rabbi David

Purim is behind us and we can feel the weather warming. Our parsley is growing and boxes of matzah have popped up in the grocery stores. With Passover on the horizon we are more than ready to free ourselves from the long winter tunnel of darkness and experience the re-birth of spring.

But there is another tunnel that we are emerging from. Thank God, some of our teachers received their first dose of the vaccine this week. Please God, as more vaccine rolls out - all of our teachers, parents, and children will be vaccinated and we will be able to find, again, some sense of normalcy. Until then we remain vigilant as we care for ourselves and one another by wearing masks and staying physically distant.

The pandemic is far from over. The pain it has inflicted on so many will remain long into the future. Even so, I do hope that we all are able to find our way out of our own personal darkness and emerge from the tunnels we have been forced into. I pray that the vaccine, our continued vigilance, and just a little faith will help us emerge this spring, stronger than ever; ready to grow again and become everything we can imagine for ourselves.
