From Rabbi David

What a difference a summer makes. Your kiddos have grown so much and it has been such a wonderful week of meeting new friends, discovering new toys to play with and so many new things to learn.

This Saturday is the beginning of the month of Elul. Elul is a month in which we take stock of where we've been so we are best prepared to begin the new Jewish year with open eyes and a full heart. Elul is a month of re-discovery of all that we've learned and how we've grown over the past year. We remember all of the successes we've had and some of the goals we haven't yet met. This month reminds us that everything is possible with just a little effort.

Seeing your children in our hallways and classrooms again this week has reminded me that everything is possible. With the combined efforts of our amazing teachers, you - our dedicated parents and, of course, our unbelievable kids - we are going to learn and do more than we ever could have imagined in this year. We won't knock it out of the park every time but we will inch closer and closer to our goals, learning along the way and, with a little effort - re-discovering ourselves in the process.
